Jamberry Nails! Words of Wisdom from a Jamberry Noob

Jamberry nail wrap review

Jamberry! Oh Jamberry! Even if you're remotely interested in Health & Beauty products, you must have heard about these fancy nail wraps in some form or another. Be it for their trendy designs, holiday collections, nail stencils, controversies or pushy sales consultants. When I was offered to try out their products, I'll admit I was a little hesitant. I'm an honest blogger. I say how it is. If I don't like it, I'll say it and if I do, I don't want all the Jamberry consultants out there throwing eggs on my Instagram post. In a way, I'm a little relieved that I actually really like them.

Jamberry application

As a Jamberry newbie, I have done pretty well on my first try. To be honest, before these I've never tried anything remotely artificial on my nails, nail wraps included. So I had zero clue how to go about the procedure. I looked at 2 online tutorials on Jamberry's website- An application video and a tips & tricks video. I pretty much followed these two tutorials to the T and got it right! Something so rare.

Christmas 2016 Gift Guide- We are doing our first Christmas ever!

karen murrell true love lipstick review

Have you sorted your Christmas gifts yet? Did I tell you we are celebrating Christmas for the first time ever this year and that the struggle is real? Never before did I understand the rush to sales and the amount of thought and energy that goes into each gift. Never before have I felt so baffled with the umpteen choice of ornaments for a pine tree. Never before have I investigated and compared tree prices and never in my life I had to think of what we'll be eating on that day when all shops will be shut and there's no restaurant where I can hide and just eat my heart out without worrying about the dishes.
We do not have much family here in NZ but whatever we have is a cool bunch. No oldies so I'm kinda the decision maker and the actual enabler of things. We have no traditions to guide us and no experience to fall upon. Think of it as a European trying to celebrate Diwali. Its weird right? But I really wanted to get on board this year. Having been in NZ for 8 long years, I really wanted to feel the thrills of this day for once. Who knows we like it so much that we end up making our own little traditions!

Gifts! Lets just talk about gifts today because OMG the amount of stalking and personal attention they require. I literally hear every word that my flatmate says so I can make out what she really wants as a present. Hey! I'm a very practical person and more of a thrifty one too so I want to give people gifts that they'll actually need and use. I have no problem in asking what the person needs so I can give them that exact thing. Yes! There's no surprise but then there's no chocolate box either. Me and husband have got each other what we really NEEDED (scroll below) and will wrap them on the day to put under the tree. My brother-in-law paid for my Anastasia Beverly Hills haul from their Black Friday Sale so I get to have the exact eyeshadow shades I always wanted. I think we are doing pretty good in this department.

But hey! if you are clueless of what to gift to a makeup, lipstick or skincare addict like me, I have a list of things that may help make your mind a tad relaxed.
Here are my top picks from this season-

OMG I just made a DIY Z-Palette for $2.50 - True story!

Magnetic Z eyeshadow palette DIY

There aren't many blog posts I get so excited about that I post them the very day an idea germinates. This one is it! I'm super excited coz I've just made a Z palette for $2.50. You know what's a Z palette right? Duh! Its a very well known brand for empty magnetic eyeshadow palette cases, so makeup artists and enthusiasts can create and customize their own eyeshadow palettes. They can select a million single eyeshadow pans and then stick their favorites together in one palette. Yep! That's a Z palette and they cost a bomb! An empty Z palette is an easy $30+ and in NZ you can't even get one unless you get it shipped from overseas with a hefty shipping charge ($20 plus).

how to make Z palette

Long story short, Anastasia Beverly Hills (ABH) had their Black Friday Sale a few weeks ago, where their single eyeshadow pans were reduced to like $4 from $12 each, so obviously I went a lil crazy in there. Normal practice is that ABH send you an empty palette along with so you are good to go. I bought 12 eyesshadows and expected them to send me a 4 pan and an 8 pan empty palette along-with. They didn't. They just sent one 4 well empty palette. I was disheartened! I researched Z palettes, they were damn expensive. I researched Z palette DIY's. They were do-able and this one I tried was a success in one go. So here's a step by step tutorial for your very own Z palette. It literally took me five minutes to assemble this and I'm so crazy obsessed with it already. Now I just have to figure out a way to depot all my MAC single eyeshadows. #ExcitementLevelOutOfRoof

Here's the step by step instructions with photos-

iHerb Haul Nov 2016- Use my discount code 'PGF661' for $$ off!

You know you're slack when you haven't posted on the blog for a whole month..and this time I don't even have a valid excuse for it! Maybe I just wasn't feeling ya'know? But I decided to shrug off some laziness today so I can do a quick post on my recent iHerb order. Reason- You know it's Black Friday in US tomorrow? right? No? Been under a rock bro? It's the Friday after Thanksgiving day (that's today!) so Americans are gonna go crazy on shopping tomorrow. Think Boxing day for us Pacific Islanders! An Indian equivalent would be a Diwali sale...Umm..may be no? Ok. Whatever. You get the point right? So iHerb are doing a Green Friday Sale tomorrow with upto 15% discount on all products on their website with the code Greenfriday. If you're a first time customer and your order exceeds $40 USD, you get another 10% discount with my code PGF661 that makes it a combined discount of 20-25% off stuff. How crazy good is that? I might do a sneaky order as well. Time to stock up on supplies. #TraitsOfAnIherbAddict

To cut the chase, here's what I purchased from the website this month. I do these posts so you know exactly what's worth buying. That website is a treasure trove. Search for a face wash and find a million options so it's always good have some recommendations. Time is money people. Save time.
(You can check out my previous orders for suggestions on other stuff to buy- Nov 2014March 2015May 2016July 2016, Sept 2016)

1. Giovanni Frizz Be Gone Hair Serum ($8.68 NZD for 81ml)- This stuff literally transforms my hair. I've ordered it before but my sister managed to nick it off me so I had to re-order. Looove! Makes hair silky smooth and manageable. It also has a heat-protectant in it. 100% recommended.

Happy Diwali 2016! feat. a hand embroidered outfit by Mum

Diwali 2016 look

Hey guys!
How are you??? You wouldn't guess this from reading but I'm actually fricckin excited!! Its DIWALI tomorrow... My favorite Indian festival and generally my favorite time of the year.
Its spring here in NZ, there's seeds germinating in my garden, there's more light in the day, there's sweets everywhere, the festive season has kicked off and there's an idiotic smile on my face.

DIY diyas clay lamps for Diwali

I missed out on Auckland Diwali Festival 2 weekends ago due to my impromptu trip to India but I'm glad I caught up on some other events planned around the city this last week (all the goss on my Insta Story). There's no certainty if I'll ever be able to attend Diwali in India (I was pretty close this time..just 8 days away!) but in all honesty I've fallen in love with Diwali here in New Zealand. I do miss home but this is my second home so it's not that bad you know....
Moreover, I got homemade sweets from India so technically there's some taste of home this year.

MAC Liptensity Collection- Reviews, Swatches, Collection info

MAC Liptensity Collection Review

Hey guys!! Sorry I was MIA since last 2 weeks. Guess what! I was on a wee break in India for my best friends wedding (Of corse you know all about it, right down to what I ate, from my Insta Story!). It was a super short whirlwind trip. I tried to take some decent outfit photos too (though I didn't take my DSLR with me!). Lets do another wedding series..Who's ready? I'm really excited after all the love I received from you guys on the my Sisters Wedding series.

MAC Liptensity Lipsticks

Today, lets just talk about this new collection from MAC which came out Oct 10th, 2016 in NZ.  I know I'm late. Blame the travel!! But the collection is still available and its a beautiful one so lets dig into it.Its the MAC Liptensity Collection! Very aptly named as these lipsticks are pretty intense.

Nothing makes me more happy than a lipstick so when I heard of MAC releasing a collection of solely lipsticks..you could sense my excitement. MAC teamed up with the reknowned color expert Maureen Seaberg. She is pretty amazing in the sense that she has tetrachromatic vision, a rare genetic trait that  lets her see a million more colors than us normal beings. She can tell apart two shades that would look identical to you and me. How cool is that?

My sisters Wedding Shenangians- Part 5- Reception Night

Apologies if you were waiting on this last post of the series over the weekend. I usually refrain from posting on the weekends because a.) I'm busy b.) I'm sure many of you are out & about too. It takes a lot of hard work before I hit Publish on a post so its kinda a waste if my readers miss it.

All that aside, here's the last and final post from my sisters wedding- The Reception Night! It's a gathering hosted by the groom's side to welcome the new daughter-in-law into their family. The event is fully organised by the boy's side and we had nothing to do except Dress Up, Show Up & have a good time!
It almost sounds too relaxing but the organisation freak in me will always take upon a job to do!

It's a night event and since I wore Indian Outfits to all the functions (Prayer Ceremony, Henna, Sangeet Night & the Wedding), I wanted to wear something western with an Indian aspect to it. Enters the classic black gown but with a twist!

My sisters Wedding Shenangians- Part 4- THE Wedding Day!

Indian Punjabi Wedding Outfit

Are you liking this series so far? I've never been so consistent with posts so it feels weird to be posting everyday. Must say it takes a good chunk of my day so your comments keep me going! Leave some na!

Indian Wedding outfit ideas

After the Prayer ceremony, Henna Ceremony & the Sangeet night comes THE most important day of all -the actual wedding day! It's the day everyone has been warming up to for a week. In my religion, the day starts super early as the Gurudwara/ Sikh Temple ceremony has to be completed before noon. So getting up super early is a norm. There are some ceremonies in the morning for both bride & groom at their respective places, after which the bride heads to the salon to get all glammed up and the family prepares with gifts and proceedings of the day.
The wedding party has to reach the venue at like 9 am (ish!) to welcome the guests. It's also the perfect time for the photographers to get some shots of freshly made up Indian bride and her family.
The bride family is the host for the day so its just them at the venue at that time. This is when we snapped up these beautiful shots of us twirling around, before all the madness ensued. I absolutely love these pictures. I still have to pinch myself when I look at them. The day almost feels like a dream.

My sisters Wedding Shenangians- Part 3- Lady Sangeet Night

Oh! my favorite night from the wedding week is here. After the Religious Ceremony & much lighter Henna ceremony comes the absolute rocker- The Sangeet Night!
I absolutely love lady sangeet. This is a crazy dancing night on the wedding eve..so more like go all out, drain yourself, get sick & get up at 4 am the next morning coz its the frickkin wedding day. The after effects of this night are long felt after the wedding week is over- Sore back, sore feet & so much sleep to catch up to.

Beleive me I do not have a single solo picture in this event where you can see my full outfit. I'm literally falling over people, making faces, dancing crazy or acting borderline mad. All that when I'm a teetotaler. God save the wedding party if I'm ever drunk.
I've decided to not plaster the faces of my family & friends over on the blog so you won't see many pictures from the night. Where possible I've cropped them out! Ruthlessly!!
However, I got to wear the same outfit again with different makeup and hair at a friends wedding a few days later and even got some spare time to snap pictures. You'll see more of those in this post.

Literally cursing myself! Next time..I'm gonna be in front of the camera..right left & centre! huh...
I had fun though!

My sisters Wedding Shenangians- Part 2- Henna/ Mehendi Ceremony

Indian henna ceremony

Hey guys! Its Day 2. Thank you so much for all the lovely comments on my first post from the wedding guest/ Sister of the Bride series.
After the Paath/Religious Ceremony, the next day was the Henna Ceremony.

Indian mehendi outfit

Mehendi / Henna evening - The girls dance, giggle & get Henna applied on their hands (hen's night would be apt western event to compare). It's a really light fun evening so it calls for a light fun outfit. Something that is not too precious as henna on your hands can really ruin the outfit. Something not too tight or uncomfortable as your hands will be rendered useless. Something pink (No! I just made that up!).
Worth a mention is a fact that if you want henna to come out really dark & pretty..no water touches it for a day. Like really NO WATER. So after it dries and flakes off..disposable gloves are your best friend. God forbid if we have to go use the washroom when its freshly applied (we always do!), an assistant is required. Food has to be fed by hand. Our chores need to be taken care of. So it is essentially being a princess for the day.

My sisters Wedding Shenangians- Part 1- Paath / Prayer Ceremony

Punjabi wedding outfit

Hey guys! I've finally decided to do some outfit posts from my trip to India (I've previously written about my trip here).
This 5 post series is dedicated to my sister's wedding. Her wedding was in the second week of December (yep! a wee while ago!) and I was in India for 2 months to attend this family occasion as well as heaps of other weddings (21 functions!) that I will write about at some stage (no promises!).

You see weddings are a big deal in the land I come from. We have our dream looks sorted even before a boy is found. We research outfits, go through latest designer clothes, mix n match patterns, make our own fusion outfits on paper and then take countless trips to the tailor to perfect every single bead and sequin (I do this, do you?). So yes! weddings are a labor of love & every outfit speaks volumes of our design credentials. Of corse we have the likes of Manish Malhotra & Sabyasachi Mukherjee, the premier Indian designers who make breathtaking outfits but they come at a price that most of the middle class refuse to pay. Its more like how about have one designer outfit for the price of your whole wardrobe. umm..no thanks! But seriously no offence to those that buy from the big wigs. If you've got the moolah..why not? Saves you so much time and energy.

sikh wedding outfit

I personally like to get involved in my clothes. I like to tweak details. I'd like embroidery on one outfit and the cut on other. I'll pick color inspiration  from my favorite Jockey undie (true story!). I'm weird like that! This needs so much work and we Indians take pride in the process. Its what makes weddings fun & challenging.
So this series is an ode to the craftsmanship of Indian tailors, embroiders, small scale businesses that make our weddings colorful. What will we do without our bhaiyas?

When at weddings, I'm involved like really involved. I lose sense of being and time. I'm never a blogger but always a sister/helper/dancer. So believe me when I say that I have no solo photos at my sisters wedding.  Some candid face shots yes! but no solo full length outfit shots that I can show you. I was mostly found dancing crazy with some equally dazed people. There goes a disclaimer for the not-so-appropriate-for-the-blog photos. Enjoy!

All about MAC "It's a Strike Collection"- Perfect Score Lipstick is Looove!

MAC Its a strike collection

"Varsity-chic hues to bowl you over" is the tagline of this collection. A collection of pinks, reds & greens, inspired by the colors of a neon lit bowling place.

MAC Its a strike collection release date

MAC Its a strike collection prices

I thought long and hard about the look to go with this latest fun collection from MAC (Read 5 minutes coz there is never any thought behind my looks! I believe in going freehand). It had to be something equally fun, carefree & bowling appropriate. I can surely do better at bowling inspired makeup than in the alley where I'm pretty hopeless. I once scored the lowest! It's all in the technique I was told. Nevermind!

iHerb order- Sept 2016 **Use my discount code PGF661 for $$ off"

Whoops! I shopped again. I'm going for a mini break next month so had to stock up on my own supplies as well as buy some products that my family is addicted to (Blame me!). I also tend to try out new products on iHerb because literally sky is the limit on that website. I always have to restraint myself majorly. My shopping cart is a constant cycle of adding & removing products. Do you do that too?

If you haven't discovered iHerb.com yet..let me tell you..its a goldmine. Think American products at crazy american prices. We guys in NZ are so ripped off..it's a real treat to be able to actually afford quality supplements, skincare & makeup!
If you've never shopped from iHerb before, use my affiliate discount code 'PGF661' for many $$ off your order. You'll hate me for making you broke.

Here's what I ordered this month-
(You can check out my previous orders for suggestions on other stuff to buy- Nov 2014, March 2015, May 2016, July 2016)

1. Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge - Twin pack for NZ $15.16 - So about $7.50 for one RT sponge..the world famous RT sponge!!! Can you beat that? They cost $20 for one here in NZ pharmacies. I'm so stoked! I'm sure every makeup enthusiast has spotted one of these in makeup tutorials. I already own a beauty blender but wanted another one as back up. This one happened to be a steal for the price so...

2. Heritage Products Rosewater (240 ml for $9.68) - This is a repeat buy by my flatmate. She loves this facial mist. I'm too addicted to my Savar Multi Toner to try out any other spritz but I say good on her!

All about MAC Good Luck Trolls Collection!

MAC Good luck trolls collection

MAC Good luck trolls collection india

I admit I hadn't heard of trolls before this collection came about. I'm a 90s kid and an Indian one.. so there wasn't a chance I could come across it. But since receiving these pretty samples from MAC NZ, I've done some good googling and wow! they were quite a rage back in the 80s. No wonder MAC decided to pay homage to your childhood fantasies.

Remington Curls Collective Salon Pro Hair Curler Review

Have you ever seen a photo of me in straight hair? I bet not! Because I like my hair big, poofy & curly. I refuse to ever comb or brush them so they stay unruly forever...just the way I like them. I'm not sure if this obsession is healthy or not but I sure as hell feel powerful when my hair are in this glorious mess.

I seriously don't remember the last time I straightened my hair out (Maybe 6-7 years ago?) so the only time heat touches my hair is when I curl them, the event that happens only a handful of times a year because for Godsake..who has time for hair when there's over the top makeup to do? But I must confess, the few times that I've actually curled my hair for an event, it made the look 100% better. The confidence that good hair instill in you is immeasurable. I truly believe its a very real phenomenon.

Here's to the most painful year...

Today I write a very personal post. Its as personal as my relationships, my marriage, the cherished things I keep off social media but I want to let this one go. Today I celebrate one year of Chronic Back pain. Today was the day it all started. Today was the day the worst year of my life started. There are far more nasty things happening in the world right now. There is war, there is destruction. I cry for you but this is what that rocks my world. This is what affects me personally.

Here’s to one year of pain
Here’s to countless physio, Chiro, Acupuncture and massage treatments
Here’s to thousands of $$ spent
Here’s to an year of no sitting
Here’s to an year of always standing (in movies, at dinner tables, concerts, work and everywhere)
Here’s to the missed travel
Here’s to the missed opportunities
Here’s to paying for days after 5 minutes of gardening
Here’s to that dreaded sensation that numbs my leg
Here’s to the hundreds of Brufen that I've tucked in
Here’s to an year of restless sleeping
Here’s to an year of fighting a disease you can’t see
Here’s to an year of broken promises
& mostly here’s to the silent tears…
Here’s to the tears that no one saw.
Here’s to the pain that no one saw
Here’s to the relief that I never saw

Weleda Jardin de Vie Rose/ Wild Rose Natural Perfume Review

You just sighed right? Not another Rose product! Ummm... Yes! A 100% natural Rose perfume. I can't be a rose addict without a rose scent in my perfume drawer and when it's from my favorite natural brand Weleda.. you can't keep me away from it for long! I've written about so many Weleda products before and each of them holds a special place in my heart, be it their Massage Oil, Shampoo, Body wash , Body Lotion or their Toothpaste ..haha

I was once sent their Wild Rose Body Wash and Lotion. I even wrote about it. It is the most beautiful peppery Rose scent you'll ever lay your nose on. I still have some of that creamy body wash saved for days I really wanna feel the scent. It is seriously my most treasured and even sunshine's not allowed to touch it. I did always wonder if I could find the same scent in a bottle. Little did I know Weleda has put that rosy scent into a bottle with their Gardens of Life Collection. If you ever lay your eyes on this perfume at a store..have a whiff of it..just for me. IT IS HEAVENLY. The scent really takes you in and you can't help but be in that moment. Best of all, it's 100% certified natural & free from chemicals and additives so I can be sure to put it directly on my skin.

Remington iLight Pro+ Face & Body Hair Removal System Review + Laser FAQ's

Laser Notes-
May 18-  First try. Setting 1 all over. No Makeup. Face, legs, underarms, full arms. Tested ok on all skin areas of body. Sunshine (husband!) only face OK, Rest too dark. Machine does not accept all skin tones. Machine doesn't turn on if skin match no good. Took nearly 2 hours for treatment. Pain level ok. Followed with Aloe Vera gel straight from the plant to soothe skin.

June 7 - Growth substantial but uneven after 2-3 weeks. Tried Setting 1 on face and 2 on body. Setting 2 Felt ok on body. Got busy facebooking and machine turned off the beam. Didn't turn off fully though. Hard to reach nooks & corners like nose, knee (Bony parts!). Followed with Aloe Vera gel.

June 30 - Setting 2 on face, Setting 3 on legs. Best to do on a cold day as skin heats up. Don't laser during menstrual cycle as body a bit sore so felt more pain. Had to sit for 2 hours- back pain. Shave legs before use. Better on thicker hair like underarms, bikini.
Worked best on areas already treated with laser. Works as a touch up treatment/ maintenance session.

July 26- Very Patchy growth on legs and arms, fine growth on face. Setting 3 on both Face & Body. Felt more pain on this setting while doing underarms. Wouldn't mind purchasing for touch up treatments.

Do you know how much time does a woman spend on hair removal during her lifetime? I don't know either! But I know for sure it'll be in weeks & months because I certainly endure many of those painful hours. Being an Indian doesn't help. We are hairy..some of us more than others. My eyebrows need grooming every 20 days and that's after I've stretched the limit by a good full week (hey bushy brows!). I wax my legs and arms. That's once a month kinda affair. I have also been getting laser done on my face since last 3+ years. I admit its quite addictive. If you ever get used to smooth hair-free face ..you'll never be able to live with hair again. Foundation just doesn't feel the same. Makeup goes on like a dream- streak free!
I get laser done on my face every 8 weeks. I no longer get a stubble but more like a peach (brown!) fuzz on my face.

Independence Day Special- Indian Flag (Tricolor) Inspired Makeup

Hey Guys!

To all my Indian friends & readers..Happy Independence Day :)

Its India's 70th Freedom anniversary today. We got independence from the British rule after about 200 years of struggle that involved a loss of thousands of lives. It's a hard earned freedom that we owe to our nation's heroes that fought the mighty.
I'll credit the Indian radio channels for this super quick blog post. They've been blaring nationalist songs since morning. I'm not complaining though. I did tear up a couple of times.
The Indian in me just had to do an Independence day look. Here's one inspired by our national flag-The Saffron, White & Green Tricolor.

iHerb.com Order- July 2016 **Use PGF661 for $$ off your first order**

Money has been leaving my bank account left right & centre this month. This mid year slump seems to be draining all my moolah. Does it happen to you? All expenses come visit you at the same time. And then you decide to shop online. I admit I feel a lil guilty. Time to impose a shopping ban I think.

I made another iHerb order this month as supplies were running low. Here's what I ordered-

1. My regular supply of Life Flo Rosehip Seed Oil- $8.25 each- AS ALWAYS! I figure this is the reason I go on iHerb but then I order some more. Its my favorite face oil and even after 3 years of using it everyday my love affair with this one is still going strong. Full review here.

it'S SKIN Rose Sheet Mask Review

You know Roses are my thing! I haven't met anyone as crazy about Roses as myself so I'm gonna go ahead and claim the title of a 'Rose Addict'. If a brand mentions ROSE on packaging, I'm sure to check out the product. Be it perfume, face masks, cream, lotions, body wash, shampoo, essential oil, massage oil, eye cream & what not!
So when Anne-Marie from Things of Beauty website contacted me for trying out some Korean Rose Sheet masks from the brand it'S SKIN, I said a big fat YESSS! She knows me all too well #Instabuddies

And boy oh boy! I have not been disappointed. I've never quite tried anything like it. It's a sheet mask with sticky rose extract and various other serum/extracts it it. Its supposed to be put on for 15-20 minutes but it smelled so heavenly, I must have done over an hour with this one..till all the serum was gone and the sheet felt dry.

Eid 2016 Makeup Look- Blue Eyes, Red Lips + Some life lessons from my mum!

Blue smoky eye makeup

They say "Once it's on the internet ..its forever". This is exactly what I'm trying to do today. I'm wearing my mum's 25 year old outfit (circa 1991), I think it looks stunning and its Eid this week so why not right?

I posted a no makeup picture with this outfit on my Instagram last week . It seemed to be a hit! The outfit fits me like a glove.. literally! I actually needed a girlfriend to help me out of it. I was too scared to wear it again. It will be heartbreaking to wreck something so precious..but I just couldn't help myself from donning it again. I felt like I needed to go all out with this one and here's it again...in full glory. And now I'm content. I'm at peace. How often do you wear your mum's outfit ? Not often right? So why not do the whole shebang when you do.
Blue smoky eye makeup look for indian weddings
It's Eid this week too. To all my Muslim friends & readers..EID MUBARAK :) I hope you have a blissful time with friends n family. I have many Muslim friends so I can't wait to visit their homes this week for a yummy feast. Honestly, they are one of the kindest people we know! Hey Rafia :p

MAC Fashion Pack Lipstick in 'Stylist's Tip' Review + FOTD

MAC fashion pack lipstick review

I might as well call this post 'How to endure a sick day' coz seriously I'm so over being sick and pitying myself. Well actually sick days are pretty cool..no one comes near you (Flu fear!), you spend the entire day with yourself. It's like a dream come true but it also brings weird symptoms with it. You are jealous of anyone that's healthy & roaming around you, you have zero energy to do blogging and your eyes strain at even the faintest sight of a cellphone. So you have pretty much nothing to do except stare at the ceiling (drugged). Man its depressing! And I've had bountiful of such days this month.
But what better than a MAC delivery of their new limited edition collection to spruce up the mood. Trust me, makeup makes everything better! Off I go to wash my face and adorn myself. Whoaa! I feel way better now. Hey thanks MAC! (and Warehouse NZ for stocking such fluffy & cute Pj's). True Story btw :p

MAC fashion pack collection review

This new limited edition collection from MAC is called 'Fashion Pack' and it hits NZ stores on July 4th, 2016. Its a collection of bold shades, worthy of the fashion forward ladies that grace the front rows at any fashion show. I was sent two lipsticks from this collection - Stylist's Tip (A deep violet, Amplified finish) and Pressed & Ready (A whitened nude, Lusture finish) . As you can guess the nude shade is so not for me. I'm NC 32-ish and this makes me look sick. However, It looks like a great shade for cool toned porcelain skin. I say maybe!
