So I was sitting idle yesterday which doesn't happen very often and suddenly had this urge to try out blue eyeshadow on myself. Talk of inspiration can strike anytime! Off I go!!
I've been wanting to do it for so long. I didn't even know what colors to use and how it'll turn out. Went with my gut feeling and randomly created one from Zoeva's 'Love is Story palette'. I loved it and even posted a hazy selfie on Insta and Facebook asking if it was a yeah or nah! The response was mixed. Some liked it, some suggested black liner & bold lashes with it, some didn't feel it went well with my brown eye color and some couldn't really make out what was wrong with it (I'd be one of them!).
Anyways, I decided to create a green eye next! Your typical Sunday afternoon..when you get carried away with makeup practice and before you know it it's 6 pm :(
So, here's the result of my Sunday afternoon musings. There's heaps of new things I tried, the new fads you know- Red lipstick to cover dark circles under eye, contouring with a darker foundation, baking with tons of loose powder to set the plethora of concealers used under eye and an illuminating eyeshadow base. It was quite an afternoon!
Here's the result!! A Forest Green eye and a Turquoise Blue eye! Btw the Forest Green eye was created with the beautiful Zoeva Graphic eyes Eyeliner in Good Karma. I can't decide which one I like better. Honestly, I like both, like a lot!! and I was quite happy with my first attempt with loud colors.
But I'd love to know your opinion. I got told that purple and green are for brown eyes. Well, life's about breaking rules so here's my act!
Did someone say try with a black eyeliner? Here ya go!
What's your verdict? #TeamBlue or #TeamGreen? More like Turquoise Blue or Forest/Olive Green!
