If you're one of those who feel red is highly overrated, specially on Valentine's..welcome to the club!! This post is for you. You and I are in the same team. You like to be different & refuse to do the usual - you know going red & matchy matchy on Valentine's. Don't you?
So here's a fun & girly twist to your Valentine's day manicure.
Try them tonight... trust me you'll be a fan. I've even been asked where I got them done from... showing off like a PRO! #SoHumble
Here you go- pastel mint, gold & hearts = My kinda manicure.
OK. I know what you're thinking! Those hearts are seriously disfigured. I KNOW!! But I did them in a single shot- with a TOOTH PICK!! Can we excuse them now? THANK YOU!
Nail paints used -
1. Butter London 3 Free Nail Lacquer in 'Fiver' - I'm a fan of this shade - a pastel mint that is unbelievably creamy, also long wearing & free of nasties (namely formaldehyde, Toluene & DBP). I have just two coats of it on!
2. OPI Nail Lacquer in 'All Sparky and Gold' - A recent purchase. My OPI Honey Ryder was totally getting abused so I had to go buy another decent gold. This baby doesn't disappoint. Loaded with shimmer-muted gold with olive tones-full coverage in two coats. Highly recommended!
3. Maybelline Color Show in Porcelain Party (102) & Blackout (220) to do the accent nail! Hearts were done using tooth pick. Love the black nail paint but not a fan of this white shade from Maybelline. Its streaky, looks chalky and not very long wearing too. I need a better white. Any recommendations?
4. Mavala Top Coat Gel Finish ($24.95) - Sealed the whole look with this newest release from Mavala. A gel top coat + clear fixator. I'm actually pretty impressed with it. It gives your manicure a professional look. The gel is thin & applies like top coat but dries quickly into a high gloss finish. It prolongs wear-time too- 3 days and counting, no chips- Ok. I just saw one..a wee one but you need a pretty good eye to detect that!!
If you're a fan of gel manicures...get your paws on this baby. Its perfection in a bottle. So much better than usual top coats.
So, that's my idea of Valentine's day mani and I'm actually wearing it as I type. Sunshine loved it too. Though gotta admit he pointed out the wobbly hearts the second he laid his eyes on my hand. Tough luck! Neva mind...who cares right? Do guys really believe girls jazz up for them? Heights!!
