Here's to the best makeup remover wipes I've used till date. I just had to write about them. I have an OCD for squeaky clean face. I love taking every ounce of makeup off. Makeup removers and cleansing balms are all good but makeup wipes are truly a lazy girls best friend. I don't know of any girl who looks forward to taking makeup off at the end of the day. It is such a dreaded job so I'm always on a look out for things that'll make this not-so-exciting task super-quick.
Its hard to find makeup remover wipes that are perfect in every way. Some don't take off makeup that well, some itch skin, some are too harsh, some smell artificial, some don't take waterproof makeup off, some don't go well with my sensitive eyes and finally some are way too expensive.
I've found wipes that scored 10/10 on all this and more. These Night Calming Cleansing Towelettes from Neutrogena* are so good. They are super gentle on my eyes which is my number 1 priority when it comes to makeup removers of any kind. These also take off waterproof makeup pretty darn well. The cloth is super soft and well soaked and I only need 1 for the most heavy makeup look. The packaging says I don't need to cleanse my face after this which I still do because hell! there's no blogger that'll commit that sin. But I can confirm that I've spent hours after taking makeup off without washing my face and these wipes don't dry out my face at all. It actually moisturizes my face a little and skin feels super soft.
The towelettes also smell subtle and not over the top synthetic & artificial.
There are 25 towelettes in the pack and it costs $13.50 NZD. I spotted them on special at Countdown NZ website for $9.40 today (Sept 18, 2017)
Do I recommend them? 100%. I'm definitely buying again. Makeup cleansing wipes are my must haves for travel because I don't have to carry bulky makeup removers. Even husband approves of them for taking sunscreen and grime off his face.
