Wet n Wild Megalast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick in Rebel Rose, Berry Recognize & Nice to Fuchsia Review

wet n wild megalast liquid catsuit matte lipstick review

"What glides on like butter, feels like a second skin and won't budge? Our catsuit matte lipstick." This is the tag line for these gorgeous matte lipsticks on Farmers NZ website & I really have nothing more to add.
For the sake of this review and filling up a few lines, I'll of corse blabber. The first time I tried this Catsuit Matte lipstick formula from Wet n Wild was when I was sent some wacky and unique Metallic Catsuit shades from their Limited Edition Midnight Mermaid Collection. If you go read that review, I've mentioned that this is one of the best liquid matte lipstick formula I've tried and I can't wait to try some more wearable shades in it. My wish was fulfilled a month later & I couldn't be happier because they've performed as I'd expected them to- Excellent!

Wet n Wild Megalast Catsuit Matte lipsticks are now available in Farmers NZ in 7 stunning shades for just $11.99 NZD.

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Fluid SPF 50 Facial Sunscreen Review

Neutrogena ultra sheer fluid spf 50 sunscreen review

Neutrogena ultra sheer fluid spf 50 facial sunscreen review

Are you forever looking for sunscreen that can be used under makeup? I know I am. And I had kinda given up. Most leave an oily sticky film, some give white cast, others ball up when layered with makeup, almost all of them feel heavy and take forever to sink into skin. Guess what! I found a sunscreen that does none of that.
I tried this sunscreen the very day Neutrogena sent it to me because I'm always on a look out for sunscreen that is hassle free. I literally have 5 minutes to put up my face in the morning. 5 minutes! Moisturiser, sunscreen, sheer foundation, powder, blush, curl eye lashes, done. This is me every morning. I can't be waiting for my sunscreen to sink in while Auckland Motorway is collecting traffic by the minute.

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Fluid Sunscreen works for me. It is so unbelievably light, almost water consistency. The squeeze bottle is amazing as I can control how much I need. The sheer fluid sunscreen is true to its name. Its sheer and fast absorbing. With SPF 50 rating & broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection, I know I'm sorted for a good few hours. I can put my foundation on after a few seconds and there's no sticky feel. Even during the day, my face doesn't get any unwanted shine. I'm truly amazed.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette Review

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance eyeshadow palette review

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance eyeshadow palette dupe

If there's one product that will be featured in my 2017 top 5 finds of the year, this eyeshadow palette is going to be at the top spot. Holy moly! I love this palette beyond words. Has this ever happened to you? You wait for a year or two for the product hype to die down, hoping it's just a marketing gimmick but the product still holds up on the charts and then you buy it and the you regret all the time you wasted thinking about buying it. And it isn't the first time this has happened with me. Becca Champagne Pop Highlighter- I waited so awfully long and then bought it one fine day and then regretted every day I spent without this highlighter in my stash.
Tbh this approach works for me as I'm NOT a makeup hoarder. I prefer quality over quantity & since I'm not super rich, I want to be 100% sure on what I put my money in. So most products in my stash deliver. It's tough not getting sucked into marketing (read unfollowing Insta accounts for all brands) but a girls' gotta do what a girl's gotta do.

So one fine day, I bit the bullet and bought Anastasia Beverly Hill's Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow palette from Beautylish.com. A genuine American website. No problems at all with their service. It was about $42 USD/ $60 NZD at the time. Free shipping (over $35). Recommended!

SKIN by Ecostore Brightening Exfoliator Review

skin by ecostore brightening exfoliator review

Beauty world is forever developing. There's new improved things coming out everyday. Gritty facial scrubs were so last decade. Isn't it? Now, its all about lactic and glycolic acid peels for gentle but effective exfoliation. St. Ives Scrub had its heyday. These days it's said that excessive exfoliation albeit taking off dead skin cells, causes micro tears in gentle skin structure and does more harm than good. Yes, I know all that. But there isn't a better brightening product than a quick 2 minute scrub to take away all the dullness and uneven skin. Just do it gently and don't over do it. Once a week works for me. Who am I kidding! Some busy months it's once in 4 weeks for me. I'm not the one for fussy skincare and too many products (though it might seem like I try a heck lot of them #BeautyBloggerLife) . If I have a skincare regime that works for me, why change it? Our bodies like regularity. Yes! Regular is boring but its good for us. Regular meals, regular sleep times and set skincare. Cleanse, Tone, Moisturize is my mantra and will always be. No matter how many products I try out, I come back to my old favorites a few weeks later. Sometimes, I get blessed by skincare gods when I discover a new product that knock offs an old favorite from its top spot.

I reviewed SKIN by Ecostore products a few months ago and I can confirm that I am still in love with them. The Hydrating Moisturiser and Gentle Cleanser are still being used everyday. Their Multi-Nutrient Facial Oil was so beautiful but at just 20ml, it didn't last very long in our house. The night cream has fallen off the bandwagon and lost to my undying love for Rosehip Oil.

skin by ecostore face scrub review

SKIN by Ecostore has recently added two more products to their line up- Brightening Exfoliator and  Hydrating Mask. I've used the hydrating mask a few times and didn't feel like it did much for my skin. Please note, I already use a lot of moisture intensive products throughout my day so I don't have dehydrated skin to begin with. Maybe that's why the hydrating mask didn't seem to add much.

MAC Kinda Sexy Lipstick Review

MAC Kinda Sexy lipstick review

Oh the name! This has to be a name that resonates with me..I'm kinda sexy, kinda cool, kinda happy & kinda messy. The number of times I use 'kinda' during my day has me wondering if kinda is my kinda word.
Its kinda possible that this lipstick was bought due to its name. The color is not too bad either. You agree?

MAC Kinda Sexy lipstick swatch

MAC Kinda Sexy is from MAC's family of matte lipsticks, my favorite formula from them. If I say owning every lipstick from MAC's matte range is one of my life goals, I won't be exaggerating. Of corse they have to suit me. I'm not buying any wacky colors for the heck of it.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cleansers Review

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel cleansers review

These two blue gel cleansers from Neutrogena are a novelty. In the world of foamy, drying and squeaky clean cleansers, they are a breath of fresh air.
Neutrogena's Hydro Boost range with 'Hyaluronic Acid' is amazing for dry skin. I've used a lot of products from this range but the Water Gel Cleanser just might be my number 1 pick. As ya'll know I have dry skin and every product I put on my face has to add something to it. I stay away from products that take moisture and good skin oils away.

Neutrogena Hydro boost gelee milk cleanser review

I was sent these two cleanser buddies from Neutrogena a wee while ago and have been using them religiously ever since. I have had no dry skin episode and my skin is as plump as ever.
Fun fact! Why is it that for the past few weeks everyone I tell that I'm 30 years old is surprised. They say I don't look my age. Obviously that has me elated. I must be doing something right with my skincare game. Or is it the zeal for life in my eyes? I actually don't feel 30 at all. Weird?
