Few weeks ago, my \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/www.lipsnberries.com\/2015\/03\/iherbcom-haul-march-2015.html\" target=\"_blank\"\u003EiHerb supplies\u003C\/a\u003E ran out and I fell in the arms of Lipidol Face Oil. For the price of $9.95 NZD for 50 mL, this oil definitely beats them all at price. I like that it promises nothing, well nothing but a promise to retain moisture. No tall claims, no too-good-to-be-true claims. It doesn't market itself as a magic potion. So yeah! I didn't have a huge list of claims to refute. An amber colored oil, very simple, very appealing.\u003Cbr \/\u003EIt boasts a long ingredient list of botanical extracts but the first one is \u003Cb\u003ELiquid Paraffin\u003C\/b\u003E, so \u003Cb\u003EVaseline naysayers\u003C\/b\u003E can cross it off their list right now. It's a \u003Cb\u003Emineral oil based facial oil\u003C\/b\u003E and I suppose that is how it creates a barrier against moisture loss. I think this is the type of oil that is found in Baby Oil. However, its takes a good wee while to absorb in. I apply it at night, half an hour before bed and most of it is still on my face when I hit bed. It just sits on top for ages though I admit I over-use oils. I don't know if it absorbs or if I lose most of it to pillows but I don't experience any dry patches while using it (\u003Cb\u003EI have super dry skin\u003C\/b\u003E) so some of it definitely sinks in. The \u003Cb\u003Eskin feels neither oily nor dry\u003C\/b\u003E in the morning and I've had no acne either. Skin feels comfortable! The oil is also \u003Cb\u003Enon-comedogenic\u003C\/b\u003E and \u003Cb\u003Esuitable for sensitive skin\u003C\/b\u003E, as per the manufacturers (Bio-Oil!)\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"\u003E\u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-iDC8xDqoPoU\/ViCgIHX5ekI\/AAAAAAAACA8\/Ho7gxZTWZ9c\/s1600\/lipidol%2Bface%2Boil%2Breview.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"\u003E\u003Cimg border=\"0\" height=\"426\" src=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-iDC8xDqoPoU\/ViCgIHX5ekI\/AAAAAAAACA8\/Ho7gxZTWZ9c\/s640\/lipidol%2Bface%2Boil%2Breview.jpg\" width=\"640\" \/\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/div\u003EAs far as \u003Cb\u003Emoisture replenishment\u003C\/b\u003E goes, I quite like this oil. But I'm a bit wary of recommending it as moisture is a job many other oils and serums can deliver with fast absorbency and\u003Cb\u003E less of silicone \u0026amp; mineral oils\u003C\/b\u003E.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EI wouldn't apply it during the day or at morning as its \u003Cb\u003Equite slippery\u003C\/b\u003E. Its certainly \u003Cb\u003Enot a good base for makeup\u003C\/b\u003E. Its marketed as an \u003Cb\u003EOvernight Oil\u003C\/b\u003E so it's not designed to be used during daytime anyways.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EThe bottle albeit pretty has started creating a lil mess of its own. A dropper is a best bet with oils in my opinion.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cb\u003EBottom line\u003C\/b\u003E- If you're after an oil that is \u003Cb\u003Epocket friendly\u003C\/b\u003E and provides \u003Cb\u003Edecent moisture\u003C\/b\u003E, go for it! It has good stuff like \u003Cb\u003EAlmond\u003C\/b\u003E \u0026amp; \u003Cb\u003EJojoba\u003C\/b\u003E oil, \u003Cb\u003EShea butter\u003C\/b\u003E, Honey \u0026amp; Coco butter. Oh! Parabens free too. I'd quite possibly consider it again if I spot it on special at Countdown. I can't vouch for any miracles as toners are already a wishy wooshy territory, but I do love a good spritz of them after my evening cleanse. The cleansing oil aka \u003Cb\u003EBody wash\u003C\/b\u003E is  supposed to be applied on wet skin. It \u003Cb\u003Edoesn't lather \u003C\/b\u003Emuch. It's almost  like my creamy \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/www.lipsnberries.com\/2014\/08\/lipidol-after-shower-oil-review.html\" target=\"_blank\"\u003EWeleda Wild Rose Body Wash\u003C\/a\u003E but still not quite there yet. It's\u003Cb\u003E transy  looking\u003C\/b\u003E, spreads easily, \u003Cb\u003Edissolves body secretions\u003C\/b\u003E, \u003Cb\u003Eno foam\u003C\/b\u003E, and doesn't  take much water to leave contact from the skin. Did you get what I mean?? Arghh.. so hard to explain! OK Try 2: You know when a shampoo or body wash just doesn't wanna come  off.... \u0026amp; you keep trying to get rid of that slippery surfectant  feel! Yup! that one exactly. I wanted to use it for a good few days before writing a review so here's it today. So no wonder Union Swiss had to create product that marks up to that reputation.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EThe oil is a\u003Cb\u003E\u0026nbsp;dry body oil\u003C\/b\u003E, meaning it\u0026nbsp;\u003Cb\u003Eabsorbs\u003C\/b\u003E\u0026nbsp;instantly, leaving a\u0026nbsp;\u003Cb\u003Enon-greasy\u003C\/b\u003E\u0026nbsp;feel, Almost\u0026nbsp;\u003Cb\u003Esatin-y\u003C\/b\u003E, not at all slicky! Putting it on after a shower is a yes-brainer as it\u0026nbsp;\u003Cb\u003Elocks in the moisture\u003C\/b\u003E\u0026nbsp;and leaves\u003Cb\u003E\u0026nbsp;skin hydrated\u003C\/b\u003E\u0026nbsp;for ... far longer than you'd like to go without shower!\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EWhats interesting is that it has worked well for both me and sunshine! I have\u003Cb\u003E\u0026nbsp;dry\u003C\/b\u003E\u0026nbsp;(read parched!) skin and hubby has\u0026nbsp;\u003Cb\u003ECombination to oily skin.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/b\u003EHe's usually averse to anything oily but I'm excited to report back that he has thoroughly embraced this oil and that surely puts it in the\u0026nbsp;\u003Cb\u003Ere-purchase\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/b\u003Ecategory!
