Vests
The vests that go on under your baby’s outfit are the first things that get caught in the crossfire of a messy nappy. We know it is kind of gross but it happens. Baby vests can go through a lot. One of the best things you can do is ensure that you have a good supply of white vests available. Or course, you can get vests in a wide range of colors, but the white ones are easier to bleach and get the stains out of. It helps to have them in a range of sizes too as your baby can grow quickly and might need to size up at a moment's notice.
Socks
Just like adult socks, there is a mythical creature that likes to eat baby socks as snacks. And while we generally have no problem with feeding those who need it, does it have to be just the one sock? Could they not take the pair? Baby socks go missing at an alarming rate because our babies like to pull them off their feet when we are not looking. One minute you are walking down the street with a couple of covered feet. The next minute, you look down and at least one sock has vanished. Keep a small supply of white socks during this time so that you don’t have to throw out the leftover sock.
Bum changing supplies
During the course of your baby’s life, they will go through around 2,500 in the first year, 1,500 to 1,800 in the second year, and beyond. That is a lot of bum-changing for you to deal with. If you decide on reusable nappies, you will need to ensure you have a large supply so that you never run out. Of course, you still have the option of disposable nappies but they are even ones that can go in your compost bin instead of the regular waste bin. Whatever option you choose, make sure that you have a healthy supply because babies like to go through nappies at a scary rate.
