Wet n Wild Megalast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick in Rebel Rose, Berry Recognize & Nice to Fuchsia Review

wet n wild megalast liquid catsuit matte lipstick review

"What glides on like butter, feels like a second skin and won't budge? Our catsuit matte lipstick." This is the tag line for these gorgeous matte lipsticks on Farmers NZ website & I really have nothing more to add.
For the sake of this review and filling up a few lines, I'll of corse blabber. The first time I tried this Catsuit Matte lipstick formula from Wet n Wild was when I was sent some wacky and unique Metallic Catsuit shades from their Limited Edition Midnight Mermaid Collection. If you go read that review, I've mentioned that this is one of the best liquid matte lipstick formula I've tried and I can't wait to try some more wearable shades in it. My wish was fulfilled a month later & I couldn't be happier because they've performed as I'd expected them to- Excellent!

Wet n Wild Megalast Catsuit Matte lipsticks are now available in Farmers NZ in 7 stunning shades for just $11.99 NZD.

I've tried my fair share of liquid to matte lipsticks, from Lime Crime to MAC to NYX to Australis and I'll be honest I gave up on this formula. As much as I love the opaque & clean look, I can't deal with the blotched patchy lips as soon as some food touches them. They never wear classy. I always have to make sure I wear lip liner underneath to save from unsightly natural lip color seeping through. Also they are drying and uncomfortable.

Well, none of that with these Wet n Wild Catsuit matte lipstick formula. Its buttery on application, dries in a minute, feels super light & comfortable the whole time. The lipstick doesn't flake off ugly, it fades like normal lipsticks. The colors are opaque and coverage is full in one swipe. The colors don't bleed or smudge. The wear is about 3-4 hours before they start to fade, specially if lots of greasy food is involved. If you use a lip liner underneath, the wear can be extended by a good few hours.

The shades I received from Wet n Wild are Rebel Rose (Rosy Nude), Berry Recognize (Deep purplish pink) and Nice to Fuchsia (Hot pink/true bright fuchsia shade). All 3 of them suit me and look stunning (I think, so much for humbleness). Farmers NZ has 7 shades in these lipsticks on their website. I've been recommended 'Give me Mocha' by my #InstaFam . So that's definitely coming home with me, next time I find it in stock. If you're in US or elsewhere, Wet n Wild makes 19 shades in this formula. I hope NZ gets more shades in these coz they are so amazing.

Here's how the 3 colors look on my NC 32-35 ish warm skintone.

Do I recommend Wet n Wild Megalast Catsuit Matte lipsticks? 100%. They are a must have. If you ever find them in stock, grab a shade or two and see how you go with this formula. It's definitely the best matte lipstick formula I've tried in my 4 years of blogging about all things lipsticks. Yes! I rate them better than my Lime Crime and MAC's. I'm glad I can finally wear matte lipsticks out, without worrying about them getting dry, flaky and ugly.

Which one is your favorite shade among the 3? I think I'm sold on 'Rebel Rose' for life. What a steal for $12!!
