I admit I hadn't heard of trolls before this collection came about. I'm a 90s kid and an Indian one.. so there wasn't a chance I could come across it. But since receiving these pretty samples from MAC NZ, I've done some good googling and wow! they were quite a rage back in the 80s. No wonder MAC decided to pay homage to your childhood fantasies.

What I love the most about this collection is that it isn't serious. It's a color riot..it's mad. The hues are bright n bold. There's pigments that are Purple & Chartreuse. There's a blue lip gloss and then there's lipstick packaging to die for. Oh! There's also hair sprays in cobalt blue and baby pink. Dreamy right?

The Chroma Craze hair spray in 'Good luck locks' was the only let down for me. This pink stuff is probably the worst thing I've put in my hair. It made them brassy, straw like, yukk to touch and absolutely hideous. Don't buy it specially if you have dark hair like mine. You see that in pictures? I look old! And specially on freshly washed hair because you absolutely have to wash them soon. The pink color stains stuff too. You gotta be careful with that nozzle. Apart from Croma Craze, the rest of the collection is the bees knees.

I received white Satin Eyeshadow called Silly Vanilly , a Chartreuse pigment , a glittery purple lipglass called Glitter Grunge & a Frost lipstick in Dance off, Pants off. And also these two cutest trolls ever. They can even stand on shelf. Woop woop!

I wanted Chartreuse pigment as the main attraction of this look, but after I finished creating, I was confused if the lipstick or eyeshadow took the cake.
I applied white eyeshadow Silly Vanilly as base over eye primer (like a setting powder to get rid of oil on eyelid). It made the green pop up so much more. I also used MAC's permanent eyeshadow in Lucky Green as a base for the pigment. Finally, the pigment was applied a lil damp courtesy MAC Fix+.

Lightly dusted on my face is MAC beauty powder in Play it Proper, a beautiful and subtle soft pink iridescent powder. Love!

The lipstick Dance Off, Pants off is in frost finish, not my favorite finish from MAC but I'm still surprised how much I love it.The shimmer/frost must be real fine because all I notice is a metallic sheen to my lips and no shimmer particles. It's not drying at all either and looks pretty damn flattering on my NC 32-35ish skin tone. I love it! It's a super bright cool toned pink that is going to work on so many skintones. The lipstick is quite pigmented too. It gives full coverage in one swipe. Worth mentioning is that the packaging is stellar- Bright neon Orange. Recommended!
