iHerb.com Haul - May 2016

11 May 2016

best skincare buys from iherb

You know I'm a massive iHerb.com fan. It's my favorite website for skincare and supplement needs. I have to make 2-3 orders an year to cover all my supplies. Not to forget it's a makeup brush heaven! You wouldn't find Real Technique brushes cheaper than these guys anywhere in NZ.
I recently made a huge order when they had 20% off  some beauty brands. I've been pleasantly surprised by their shipping once again. If you ever buy from them..choose DHL option. It works out cheaper with bulk orders, is fully tracked and you have the order at  your doorstep in 3-4 days all the way from States. I ordered Friday evening 3 pm and it arrived Tuesday morning 9 am. How cool is that? If you're looking to save some money on your first order, use my Affiliate/Discount code PGF661 for $$ off.

Here's the link to my previous iHerb orders if you keen to explore- iHerb Haul Nov 2014, iHerb Haul March 2015, iHerb Haul September 2015.

Here's what I ordered this time -

1. Aveeno Baby Continuous Protection Sunscreen SPF55 ($18.23 for 112g) - This one is a repeat buy like many others to follow. It's my favorite broad spectrum Sunscreen. Aveeno makes this one for babies so it's gentle and effective. It does take time to absorb in and its not the prettiest under makeup either (hello disco ball!) but its great on it's own and looks very healthy in photos too. I've never got a tan on my face since using this. I am going to continue using it as its recommended by my laser technician and serves me well too.

2. Weleda Arnica Massage Oil ($25.88 for 100 ml) - I won't bore you with my sob story of how I suffer from back pain and haven't done a hard core workout since this ordeal began many months ago. I am now constantly in a look out for alternative ways to manage this pain and massage definitely tops the list! We are a family of Arnica fans from everything to Arnica rubs and oils. So trying out this Weleda Massage Oil next was a very natural thing to do. So far I like it! It smells amazing - Lavender and Rosemary. It's a lil warming and absorbs fast too. Not to forget that its 100% natural like other Weleda products. I'm also trying out the Shower Gel from his range courtesy Bare PR. More on that later.
3. Life-Flo Pure Rosehip Seed Oil ($8.63 NZD each) - You can't be a follower of Lipsnberries and not know that I'm a Rosehip Oil addict. I always buy these in bulk from iHerb as it's the best value in terms of both price and quality. I've mentioned it countless times on the blog, here's its review if you keen to read more about Rosehip's benefits and uses.

4. Jarrow Formulas Extra Virgin Coconut Oil ($16.77 for 454g) - You can't be a sustainable lifestyle advocate without a tub of extra virgin cold pressed coconut oil under your sleeve. Isn't it everywhere? Coconut oil is a staple at our place for cooking, skincare and medical benefits. It's a must-have for winters to take care of sore throats. I've written in depth of various ways I use my coconut oil in this post. Still swear by it! It's my first time trying this brand though.

5. Hurraw! Lip balms in 'Almond' and 'Vata' ($5.39 for 4.3g)- My favorite lip balms - 100% Organic, natural and delicious. Sunshine loves the Vata lip balm - Almond, Rose & Cardamom - so I have strict instructions of always keeping it in stock. I've reviewed and compared them with EOS Lip balms here

6. Omega-3 Premium Fish Oil ($8.91 for 100 capsules) - this one is pretty self explanatory. I'm a vegetarian so I need my fish fix. iHerb has so many varieties you'd be spoiled for choice.

7. Sundown Naturals B Complex Tablets ($7.82 for 100 tablets) - For more energy and general well being. Sunshine takes B complex regularly, specially during winters.

8. Real Techniques Blush Brush ($13.46) - Look at these brushes. Aren't these the prettiest things ever? Hey did you know RT changed their look? I had no idea until I compared my old ones with these new ones (Pic below). They are so much more beautiful now. This brush is the only one I use for blush application and hands down its the best! Super soft, dome shaped and picks up just the right amount of blush. Highly recommended!

9. Real Techniques Expert Face Brush ($13.46) - The only one I'd ever use for my liquid foundation application. Sorry beauty blender couldn't win me over! Brushes are just so hassle free. I've bought this as a back up for when I'm too lazy to wash my other one.

10. Real Techniques Powder Brush ($14.96) - This one is literally 'Go big or go home'! It's huuuge. My favorite powder brush to use with my MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural powder to set foundation. It's soft, super dense, picks up right amount of product and has my face covered in just a few strokes. Love it hence buying a double-up. Do you guys do that too?

11. Bdellium Tools Eyes 760 Brush for liner/brow ($11.46) - I've bought this one after thorough research. I needed a good brush for my Inglot AMC Gel Liner. My old one from Maybelline isn't cutting it at all. I'm yet to try this one so ask me in a few weeks if I'm a fan of it or no?

12. Ecotools Eye Enhancing Duo Set, 4 Brush heads ($8.97) - These two dual headed brushes are life! Multi-purpose, soft and eco-friendly (bamboo!). I use them for everything from packing eyeshadow on lids, blending color in the crease and under eye smudging. Highly Recommended!

12. Not in the picture but also ordered were Ecotools 6 piece Essential Eye Set ($11.97) for a friend. They are absolutely my favorite eye brushes and I've gifted them to countless friends. If you are on a hunt for quality eye brushes, these guys pack a lot of punch and are certainly worth every cent. I love mine so much! Beware they are travel sized though.

And that is a wrap for another iHerb order. I love knowing what order people order from that website so please let me know of your weird and wonderful purchases. There's so much on that site that's just next level.

If you've just come across this site and are keen to make your first order, use my affiliate code PGF661 for $5- $10 off your first order. Once a member you will get back 10% of every order you make as Rewards Credit to use with next purchase. Its so cool! They often have great specials and promotions running too!

For shipping I always use DHL method which is a dearer option for small orders but so much more secure. I can't vouch for iHerb's cheaper untracked shipping service as I've never used it myself.

So what are your thoughts on my order? Anything that catches your fancy? Have you shopped from them before? How has your experience been? I'm super keen to hear. Talk to me in the comments below :)

Love
Nishu xx

P.S. If you're ordering from India be aware of cutsom duty. I've been stung by it before. Never had any problem ordering from NZ!
